How to Make Chicken Bhuna Masala Recipe |Chicken Bhuna Masala | Cook Like a Pro!

Ingredients:

  • 300g chicken (cut into pieces)
  • 4-5 small onions (finely chopped)
  • 2 tomatoes (chopped)
  • 2 green chilies (slit)
  • A bunch of fresh coriander (chopped)
  • 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste

Dry Spices:

  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoons red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chili powder
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Chicken masala (to taste)
  • Garam masala (to taste)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 large cardamom
  • 2 small cardamoms
  • A small piece of cinnamon
  • 2 cloves
  • A pinch of black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons mustard oil

Instructions:

  • Heat the Oil: In a pan, heat the mustard oil on medium heat until it’s hot.
  • Sauté the Onions: Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  • Add Ginger-Garlic Paste: Mix in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for a couple of minutes until the raw smell disappears.
  • Incorporate the Tomatoes: Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften and the oil begins to separate.
  • Spice It Up: Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  • Add Chicken: Add the chicken pieces to the pan. Stir well to coat the chicken with the spice mixture. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add Green Chilies and Whole Spices: Toss in the slit green chilies, bay leaves, large and small cardamoms, cinnamon, cloves, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Simmer: Cover the pan and let it cook on low heat for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Final Touches: Once the chicken is cooked, sprinkle chicken masala and garam masala over the dish. Stir in the chopped coriander and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve: Remove from heat and serve hot with rice or naan.
